Children's Workshop
Many of the classes offered and activities provided by KDCAH take place in the Children’s Workshop throughout the year. The Children’s Workshop involves youth of various ages 6-17 years. The Children’s Workshop is a two story masonry and wood structure with approximately 1,000 SF on each floor. It is located directly behind the Museum and functioned as the carriage house for the original family. The Children’s Workshop was renovated into a dance studio by a special grant from CBS in the mid-1970s. The main eligibility for kids to participate in the Children’s Workshop activities is a firm commitment to actively engage in program offerings.
Programs fees are very modest and free scholarship opportunities exist for low income students. The Children’s Workshop provides new learning experiences and meaningful artistic opportunities to interact with others in a positive, caring, and safe environment.
